Tires wore faster than normal, so I will not purchase General tires again.
Disappointing winter traction. Fine in good weather.
We just got 4 new tires for our Forester (not an option in the dropdown box, that is why it says Outback) and my husband and I are thoroughly pleased with the performance. The roads are currently very slick from patches of water, ice, and snow but our Forester performs even better than it did with our previous set. While this tire is not intended for intense icy and snowy conditions, due to our car type and usage, these tire are a perfect match for our life.
These tires react very well in warm weather. They run quiet, stop, and corner well in wet and dry conditions. I believe the trade off between the 70,000 mile tread life rating and traction is obvious in winter conditions. These RT's are average at best in deep snow, and quite slick on ice. If you live where it snows consider the HT models for better traction, with the 55,000 mile tread rating.
